Trick or treat,
A dash of toad's feet,
Boiling something sweet to eat!
This tasty project was made using the Cauldron Bubble suite. What a fun project it was too!
The base is a baker's box covered with StazOn black ink using a sponge brayer, but you can use memento ink or another spooky color. Use the Cauldron framelits to die cut a witch from the Toil & Trouble DSP. Stamp a broom with Espresso or Memento black ink and die cut it with the Cauldron framelits. To fortify the witch and broom die cuts, cut those shapes out of black cardstock.
Cut a 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" square out of the Toil & Trouble stars DSP and cut a 2" whole in the center using the Layering Circles dies (keep the circle cut out for a later step). Glue to the top of the box. Die cut a cauldron from black foil cardstock. The cauldron is attached to a 4 1/2" x 1 1/2" piece of black foil cardstock with tear tape or glue dots. Lastly attach the assembled cauldron to the center of the box top with multipurpose glue.
Use the Circle Tab punch to cut out a stand for the witch and attached to the top of the stars DSP behind one edge of the circle cutout. Using Granny Apple Green cardstock, use the Swirly Scribbles framelits to create the bubbling ooze effect in the cauldron. Using the Cauldron Bubble spider web framelits, cut out a web from the black foil. Attach a spider trinket to the web with a glue dot and dangle from the top of the web using silver thread.
Suggested finishing touches: a. wrap a piece of Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the box,
b. use stars die cuts from the Cauldron framelits (the new Take Your Pick tool is extremely helpful in applying the stars to the box),
c. dab of wink of stella on the stars and draw galaxy swirls in the black night sky,
d. punch bats from black foil using the Spooky Bats punch and attach to the circle cutout from the top piece, and black faceted dots.
Sweeten up this adorable project, fill a gusseted cellophane bag with green and orange to place inside the box and the cauldron with sour gummy worms!
Happy Trick or Treating!
